Fuel/oil mix #48 55.

Fuel/oil mix for safe refuelling away from base I made up a small bottle of rich oil fuel mix to carry in cockpit. This makes sure the stuff is fully mixed with any fresh fuel uptake e.g. mogas
At base I mix well in marked 20 litre Gerry cans, filling the a/c from a jug through a strainer funnel. The gascolator and inline fuel filter are there too.
My oil is reluctant to mix if put in the funnel and raw fuel poured over it. I now refill the regular 1 litre plastic oil bottles, relabelled "50:50 petrol:oil" mix. It mixes readily with neat petrol & each 2/10 of a litre off the marked level scale on these bottles to 5 litre petrol (gas) is good for the proper 50:1 petroil mixture. If you need a longer trip carry two or more ready made up, carefully marked
